The botanical gardens cemetery, which broke ground in April 2015, beautifully reinvents the concept of a final resting place.
The four founders, local to our community, created Seven Stones because they saw a need for something different. They believe a cemetery should be a welcoming and relaxing place for loved ones to want to visit. Rather than traditional rows of headstones or an unkempt atmosphere, Seven Stones Chatfield welcomes guests with fountains, fire pits, native plants, a babbling brook and artful memorials. Music, lighting and comfortable seating provide a peaceful, positive environment that will encourage family, friends and the community to visit often.
Seven Stones is innovating even behind the scenes. They’re bringing new QR code technology to the memorials, developing unique burial layouts, and they’re fully integrating sustainable planning techniques in their design. They also are embracing new customer preferences by offering green burial and pet memorials. Seven Stones is doing things in a different way—the right way— right from the start.
This commitment to doing things the right way extends to our community. Seven Stones is a resource and active partner to many organizations serving families and seniors in the area. Even further, Seven Stones has established a Church Assistance program, offering free seminars on planning; discounts for churches’ members; and the opportunity for participating churches to offer one free space each year at Seven Stones to a family in need. We were thrilled this year to break ground on our beautiful new property; open our welcome center; establish a way to give back with our church assistance program; and connect with the community through several new art ventures. That so many people have visited us and planned for their future during this construction phase—in particular the robust sales among nontraditional age brackets—has confirmed to us that our community desires a new cemetery model, one that is welcoming and relaxing for loved ones to want to visit.
Over the next twelve months, we will welcome the first one hundred Founding Families. We will complete construction on Phase 1 and begin planning for our new state-of-the-art discovery center to serve as a resource for learning about all things associated with honoring a life well lived. With our grand opening ceremony planned for this summer, we’ll hold memorial tributes and life celebrations as we welcome families with immediate needs. We also will announce our next three to four new Seven Stones locations.
