Each option for ground burial is also available for those who choose cremation. We even offer the latest environmentally friendly green burial techniques.
We recognize that making a decision about burial options can seem overwhelming, and that spiritual beliefs, economic factors and personal preference can play a role. We’re here to help. Call or visit, and we’ll walk you through your choices and help you understand what’s best for you and your family.
There are a number of traditional casket ground burial options at Seven Stones. Memorialization options for ground burials range from bronze to granite, boulders, glass or metal, and memorials can be displayed on a wall, post or monument or flush with the ground.
The tradition of natural burial dates to ancient times. Within the United States many Native American tribes still practice natural burial in celebrating and committing back to nature a life lived and loved.
Today, the choices for green burial continue to evolve, and Seven Stones seeks to offer the broadest options.
For purists, a green burial may mean that the hole is dug by hand, the deceased is placed only in a shroud and lowered by straps, the hole is filled again by hand, and there is no marker on the grave. Becoming a green-certified cemetery would require that we separate green burial from traditional burial or cremation memorialization.
Here at Seven Stones, our Meadow is an ideal space for green burial. In this space, the grass is left to grow 12-18 inches high in the Summer, like a traditional mountain meadow. The only markers are the occasional natural granite boulder, which can be engraved for the deceased, or memorialization on basalt columns that surround the perimeter.
We’re always keeping an eye on the latest developments and seek to accommodate the widest array of burial options in the Denver area. Seven Stones believes in doing things differently. To an industry that is traditional and slow to change, we bring creativity, innovative thinking, state-of-the-art facilities, extraordinary design and unique options. That’s the Seven Stones Difference.
